It's my last month here in Yomitan. I'll miss it a lot, but for some reason Mr. P can't breathe here. My suspicion is bad air circulation. We've been looking for new places with our housing agency, Dynasty. Our trip yesterday was OK, nothing that seemed better than where we live (minus the 30-60 minute drive home to work). Today was more promising. We saw a place that was really big, and it was nice and close. Downsides were that the road to work is 2 lanes and can get backed up. On the other hand, it was backed up today but we still made it to the closest gate in 15 minutes. WOW, what a difference. I'm hoping we can live there, if nothing better shows up. The only downside is that the building is adjacent to some tombs. ..... I'll be OK though because the place seems worth it. It's possible that we'll be shown some better places later on, but at the moment, this looks really promising.
Note: Some people show their homes and stuff on okinawahai. Even though it's very nice of them to show others, not sure if I'd want to do that. I will say that Dynasty has been really great to us, and I really like our agent Mina.

I saw the pictures of the places in Yomitan on okinawahai. so nice. i love how everything in japan has wood floors. gangsta. haha i like the more modern looking apartments, like the one with black cabinets. very suitable for brother prak.
ReplyDeleteYou should know that our new place will never look as nice as those on okihai. Most/all of those places they posted are places where officers' families live, which equals MUCH higher living allowances than us. Sorry to disappoint. Our $1600/month only takes us so far.
